  1. The Avengers #38: Goliath is not a good leader. He figures out that Black Widow going behind “the bamboo curtain” must be for a secret mission, and rather than de-escalating things with “I’m sure you have your reasons, do what you think is best”, he goes all “I knew you were a rotten commie all along.” Not a great look, Hank.

But how smart was it for Natasha to tell the Avengers she was leaving anyway? Sure, Hawkeye would try to find her, but if she’s as good a spy as they say, she could leave no trail for him to follow. But no, gotta have “drama.” I’m not really down on it, just think it’s silly.

Then on the opposite end, party boy Herc is here! You guys cracked me up on Herc moving into Thor’s “low tech” room. Does it have leaches instead of band-aids?

Tales of Suspense #88: Mole Man tries to steal Iron Man’s earth digger so his army’s can attack the surface. When he already can capture entire buildings and cities from underground. I can’t… I just can’t.

Cap vs Swordsman and Power Man. It was a fun fight, but that’s about it. And that’s ok, since the real story is “has Bucky returned” and “who’s the mystery villain”, but I wouldn’t want all of that revealed in a single chapter. Hanging in there for next issue.

Strange Tales #155: Fury vs … SHIELD? Between the infiltrators and hypnotized friends, it felt like that. I do have a thought about the HYDRA uniforms that Dugan, Jones, and Sitwell wore. SHIELD must have its own spies to infiltrate HYDRA, so they’d have uniforms like that in storage for missions. Yeah, that’s the ticket!

Dr Strange saving Clea from Umar, and then Ancient One vanishes her. I agree, that Vanishment spell is all kinds of bad. Ooo, does the Vanisher move thru the dimension of Vanishment when he Vanishes? What if he bumps into one of the Vanished?

Amazing Spider-Man #47: Versus Kraven’s nipple lasers and his 70’s pornstache. I mean really, Romita’s version of Kraven gives that mustache a life of its own.

And there’s MJ and Gwen. Wow. That scene was incredible, and those girls like to dance. It still cracks me up. MJ goes to “help” May and Anna with moving, and instead just dances in the house. Then instead of burgering people, the girls start a dance-off. Wow!

Oh poor Peter, torn between two beautiful women. “My wallet’s too small for my 50s, and my diamond shoes are too tight!” Sorry, I’ve started watching “Friends” again.

Such a fun episode, guys! Until next time, or until we learn that in ASM #47, Kraven’s actual opponent was Deadpool*, make mine Make Ours Marvel!
    * – Deadpool #11, from 1997, he travels back in time, take Spider-Man’s place, and shenanigans ensue.
