Are the 2 FF movies great cinema? No, but I enjoyed them a lot. The only low point for me was Victor. He was annoying and distracting.
But Ben’s makeup, all of the FF’s performances, the effects, they’re fun popcorn-munching romps.
They even borrowed good things from the Ultimate FF. You all probably know these, but if not: Sue being a scientist originated in that series. That line Reed says to the general, word-for-word from an Ultimate FF comic. And Gah-Lak-Tus cloud (instead of Galactus) from one of the Ult mini-series, I forget which and feeling too lazy to look it up.
