  1. Amazing Spider-Man #49: 3-way with Kraven and New Vulture. The scene with Peter in bed should have been played more for laughs. It’s perfect for it, with British comedy farce level of people coming into the apartment, making who knows how much racket around Pete who’s sick and should be getting rest, but instead he’s ready to Spider Out and can’t. If they’d had Pete repeatedly trying to leave, getting closer and closer to the window, but having to jump back into bed at the last second before someone comes in. (Benny Hill music plays.)

The X-Men #32: “There’s a Juggernaut in the basement.” Wait, Juggy came to the mansion way back when to destroy (cough, kill, cough) Prof X, and possibly the X-Men. Now he has them all unconscious, and just leaves? Granted, I don’t mind him leaving, but it bugs me they don’t explain his leaving better. All they needed was “Factor 3 speaking. Don’t kill them, we have plans.” But how did THAT work, when Jughead’s helmet should block telepathy? Ugh!

About the motorcycle gang, Satan’s Saints, the movie “Hells Angels On Wheels” came out in 1967 (hmm, “Satan’s Saints”. “Hells Angels”.) and “Easy Rider” came out in 1969. That may indicate cycle culture was still a thing, right alongside beatnik poet’s counter culture.

Tales to Astonish #92: Banner on the run. Wow, Marie Severin draws a GREAT Hulk! Loved it even more than her Doctor Strange. Looking forward to more!

I’m starting to question how good a scientist Bruce is. His theory about using Gamma rays to un-Hulk himself is like: “A hammer hit my leg and broke it. I’ll hit it with a bigger hammer. That should fix it!”

Daredevil #28: With Mike Murdoch around, this series has kinda jumped the shark and I don’t take it too seriously now. An alien invasion, and the hero to stop it is a blind man with a stick? SURE!

Huge congratulations on reaching episode 150 AND comic number 500! I remember very well you guys wondering how much longer you’d keep going, and I’m so glad you’ve made it this far. Excelsior!

Until next time, or until Michael and Jon reach episode 10,000 because I downloaded their consciousnesses into a Commodore and an Amiga, make mine Make Ours Marvel!
    (consciousnesses? consciousnessi? consciousnoose?)
