  1. Tales of Suspense #96: Iron Man vs Grey Gargoyle. I don’t see the problem with GG turning repulsor rays to stone. It says right there that he can change anything he touches to stone. So that means he must have practiced a lot to *not* turn air and sunlight to stone! It’s just science!

Cap unmasked and remasked. I have no idea how Steve’s identity is going to be secreted again, but it has to, right? This is bothering me much more than it should.

Tales to Astonish #98: Namor vs Plunderer. Namor’s reaction to being exiled, “Great job, that’s what I would have done, too. In fact, I sentence myself to death and will carry out the sentence personally, because that’s leadership! Imperius Re-e-e-gh…”

Hulk and Legion of Living Lightning. This is exactly the kind of story I always imagine Hulk stories being like for the 60s and 70s. 1. Bad guys pretend to befriend Hulk. 2. Hulk attacks army base for bad guys. 3. Bad guys show true colors and turn on Hulk or Betty convinces Hulk he’s doing the wrong thing. 4. Hulk beats up bad guys and runs away. 5. Rinse and repeat.
Frankly, it’s probably simpler to say,
    1. Purple pants. 2. ?? 3. Profit!

Daredevil #34: Daredevil vs Beetle. So DD frees himself, and instead of turning the tables early when the bad guys are disorganized and disarmed, he waits for a crowd of civilians to be nearby! Mike Murdoch is insane! If only his level-headed twin brother Matt were DD instead. Wait, what?

The Avengers #46: Pyms vs Whirlwind. The most important moment in this issue: beardless Hercules. I’m sorry, but the only time Herc can be beardless is wearing the brown jacket.

Fantastic Four #69: So, the title of this episode. Sigh. Yes, younger me thinks it’s hilarious.

FF minus Ben vs Ben and Mad Thinker. I was pretty annoyed revealing the disguised doctor was the Thinker, because yes, they went out of their way to point out last issue “I need to trim my mustache to match.” So I was all set for Diablo or Wingless Wizard. Either could have worked perfectly fine. But no, the villain is the guy who’s never had facial hair in a comic before! ARGH!

And now I want to see MT with his actual mustache. Oh no, he looks like Albert Einstein, doesn’t he!

Oh, and stop joking about calling it quits. *Sad face*

But besides that, a fun episode. Until next time, or until the legacy of the Legion of Living Lightning joins the Avengers as the Living Lightning*, make mine Make Ours Marvel!
    * Miguel Santos gets powers from science doo-dad and joins in Avengers West Coast #63.
