  1. FF #40: OMG, Daredevil using his billy club as a rifle, and looking down the sight! I completely missed that! Why did he even build a sight on it? LOL!

Did you discuss if this is the first time Ben or anyone has “quit” the team? I haven’t read all of the first year or two, so I need to get on that. But that’s a big deal. Someone quitting or “taking a break” from the FF is a big trope of the comic, and this might be the first time!

And dudes! DUDES! The idea of Ben leaving and joining the Avengers is too perfect! And, AND! What if Steve Englehart had the same thought, which got him to write that very story in the first 10 issues of West Coast Avengers!! I love that too much, I don’t care that it’s not likely, it’s now my head canon!

Speaking of Avengers #17: I didn’t care of the Mole Man deal. Loved the Hulk panels threading through the issue. Rick’s departure … I wonder if Stan forgot to give more of a “bye” moment in the dialog somewhere.

I enjoy the evolution of Pietro and Wanda as characters in Avengers, and it starts right here in small ways like Wanda admiring Cap, and Pietro’s attitude to being an Avenger, so this will be fun to revisit.

Spider-Man #26: A really great issue, but I just don’t have much to say about it. Although Peter buying a costume and it not fitting and having to web it repeatedly was a hoot. He’s so intelligent, but still can be so dumb. Honestly, I sympathize. I’m purty dang old, and somehow manage to still be dumb, and it ticks me off about myself, but it don’t help none. Why am I talking like a gold prospector?

Only 9 episodes to the big 1-0-0! Me nervous! Until next time, or until the Green Goblin has to fight his rival, the Green Goblin(?), make mine Make Ours Marvel.
