  1. Thor #113: The issue ends with Thor losing his powers after 30 seconds. Boy, that was a LONG 30 seconds! I bet his “5 minute” fight with the Hulk was shorter! But I mustn’t forget, Thor’s got time powers so he prolly done time stuff so he and Gargoyle could fighty. Cuz time stuff.

But does Don Blake think he’s powerless now? Or does his Doctor-sense tell him that he can still become Thor?

Oh, and why is it always “lame Doctor Donald Blake”? Does everyone have to rub it in that he’s lame? Oh wait, it’s probably on his TV ads. “If you want a doctor who cares, come see me, lame Doctor Donald Blake. But I just have a bad leg. I’m not a bad doctor. Really.”

Tales to Astonish #65: Banner captured by the Russkies. Whew, this story was really great! The Hulk turning back into Banner underwater was a twist, for sure. And the sub rescuing him actually makes things worse for Banner. I’m looking forward to where this goes next!

I’ve become more understanding that nobody’s connecting Banner and the Hulk. Why should they? It’s not like Banner could off his glasses and put on a costume to be the Hulk. And changing shape is not a well-known phenomena by this time in the Marvel Universe. The being that do it (Thor, Hulk, Mr Hyde) have kept it under wraps. At least, that’s my take on it.

The new Giant-Man. I really didn’t dig this story at first. Hank looks like a complete screw-up, not a super-hero. But after your discussion, I get it! We’re seeing Original Hank Pym, that shrunk himself into an ant hill! With that mindset, the story is awesome. Thanks for setting me straight, guys!

Until Dr Pym defeats a super-villain by shrinking … a crack in the ground(?)… make mine Make Ours Marvel!
