A few thoughts on some of these issues or your comments.
Journey Into Mystery #88- It’s very strange that no one else on Asgard seems to care or notice that Thor has been missing. Perhaps Odin just told them he’s on a mission or quest. Maybe that’s why only Loki seems to care, he doesn’t trust Odin.
Fantastic Four #11- I do love the scene with the FF playing with the kids, plus first Willie Lumpkin! I do like Willie. He can wiggle his ears you know. Plus, I believe only he and Uncle Ben were the only two non-AHole’s that Aunt May was involved with! She really seems to like jerks doesn’t she?
During his run as writer on Legion of Super-Heroes, Mark Waid did a short back up story that was basically a letters page like this one. I can’t think of other instances where something like this was done.
I do wonder if this first story should be viewed as just an out-of-continunity letters page or maybe a tv special that the FF are filming?
The only thing I can think of to say about the Impossible Man story is to throw my vote in for New Mutants Annual #3 as the best Impossible Man story ever.
Tales to Astonish #40-
Jon, I don’t judge you for putting that plastic bag on our head. I do judge you for telling your wife. Mine still doesn’t know!
