I’ve watched the first movie once, and while pretty fun, I haven’t hankered for a rewatch. But you know, one of the challenges of being a cord-cutter, I don’t have channels to just idly watch. I kinda miss that. Channel surfing along, “oh hey, sure I’ll keep this movie on.” I’d probably have seen both of these movies a bunch that way. Ah well.
As for Ghost Rider in the comics, I only read a handful of original Johnny Blaze, but collected the Danny Ketch series for years. Seems pretty rare to me for the remake of a character to have the better look, but the Ketch phase holds up much better and worked well in the movie. So we get the best of both: Johnny’s name and character, but the look and powers from Danny.
