  1. “Attuma Matata.” *laugh-snort* … and now the song’s stuck in my head.

FF #33. (reading along.) I do not get Attuma’s bunny ear helmet look. It’s just ridiculous. But I did like the issue overall, and got a kick out of Namor never noticing the FF was helping him. Reminds me of the X-Men’s non-appearance in that Thor issue. Quirky fun.

Speaking of quirky: spray on oxygen. That Johnny’s flame doesn’t use up in like a minute. I just … can’t… what…

Avengers #10. (read 2 years ago) Since I read Avengers Forever when it first came out, this issue almost makes sense in hindsight. But yeah, that’s the benefit of a writer years later trying to fit these pieces together. As you both have said repeatedly, they weren’t written to be analyzed by a nerd like me 50+ years later.

Making Rick Jones an Avenger “just like the Wasp”. OMG! That’s … bad.

It’s crazy how hella powerful Enchantress is to just turn back time. And Thor stopped time. And Odin put everybody on earth into limbo. It’s either insane, or giving me new respect for the Asgardians overall.

Suspense #60. (reading along, started when Cap joined.) For a fairly cliche femme fatale introduction, Black Widow’s arc is fascinating to see. But geez Hawkeye, is she that purty? Come on, dude! And now I need to re-read his appearance in Untold Tales of Spider-Man, intersecting this period.

Too bad Tony’s car doesn’t have a Tony tracker to go with its Iron Man tracker. Then Pepper and Happy could find Tony in no time!

Cap fights “The Assassins!” Oh, but remember, don’t kill Cap, just capture him. Zemo, you named them “The Assassins!” Not “The Abductors!” Or “The Ask Politely To Come Along-ins!”

Ok, so Rick stays in the back room for “school work.” What school is Rick going to??? How is he fitting it in with flying between New Mexico and New York, looking for Hulks in all the wrong places, “training” with Cap? I call shenanigans.

No super-soldier serum. Wow! I lost track of that. Good call. It’s always implied that was in the original Cap first appearance in the 40’s. Time for some educating!

Until Hawkeye falls in love and marries a secret agent, make mine Make Ours Marvel.
