Odin: Thor, I need you for a battle!
Donald Blake: Thor can’t come to the phone right now. Please leave a message after the thunder, and I’ll send a goat with a reply ASAP.
Odin: Oh bother, I hate these things. So yeah, Thor, it’s dad. I’ve got big battle going on that I really need you for, and I don’t like driving my chariot after dark nowadays, so call me back when you get this. Ok? Ok? What do I do when I’m done, just hang up, or press 1? Why do they make these so complicated? My ravens were so much easier.
Don: *beeeeep*
Yeah, that’s what I thought of for the Thor story. And that Thor completely wiping out slavery was …. yeah….
I agree that the X-Men graduating was WAY earlier that I ever expected! Jean just arrived in issue #1? How does she graduate that fast with a “standard prepatory program”? How long was it between #1 and #7? I’ll admit, I don’t get it.
But I also liked Wanda in this issue. Smackdown on Mastermind, saving Pietro, coloring her right on the cover, all good.
I wasn’t planning on reading Tales to Astonish, but dang it, the Hulk story has sold me. Another one for my list.”Thanks.”
Until the Hulk shrinks really small and fights a full-sized doppleganger (kinda), make mine Make Ours Marvel.
