  1. Wow, I finished writing half of the response below, and realized it sounds MUCH snarkier and negative than I like. Honest, it’s all in the name of fun. But proceed at your own risk.

Here he is, Hawkeye! I also loved it when Daniel Day-Lewis played him, but boy, that version of the costume was not on model at all.

Somewhere after this issue and before Avengers #16, Hawkeye appears in Untold Tales of Spider-Man #17. That story really played up Hawkeye as being a reluctant villain, just going along with Black Widow for love, and not having his heart in it. The UToSM series is all so good, I just had to share that.

Hmm, the arrogant archers. Overcompensating much? Clint has definitely admitted to that, not sure if Oliver has. “I’m surrounded by gods and I have … a bow and arrows. Of course I’m going to act confident and cocky. How else can I hold my own?”

The Black Widow-Hawkeye relationship, at this time, is exactly the same as Enchantress and Executioner. Natasha leads him around by the nose. Did anybody make a “couple” name for them? ClinTasha? WidEye?

So the Watcher is the most powerful being in the galaxy, but he can’t grow hair. Like, at all. I don’t care if none of the Watchers have hair. If Uatu or Roger are that powerful, they should be able to give themselves some boss hair, maybe rock a Van Dyke or something. Does that mean Uatu chooses to be bald? Sorry, Captain Picard he ain’t.

Dr Strange’s powers are so tough to define. When Cuddlebunch’s movie came out, a co-worker asked that question. I said “magic”. And he reasonably followed with “but what does that mean?” “He can do anything as long as it rhymes.” I know that’s not accurate, but I thought it funny, and how is that less accurate than what we have in the comics?

60 episodes!! WOO! With 30 comics per ominbus, that’s 2 podcast omnibuses, right? Omnibuses? Omnibi? Omnibast?

Until Hawkeye trades in his costume for one with … a skirt … make mine Make Ours Marvel.
