  1. Here I am again with a few more thoughts on this episode’s issues!

    Incredible Hulk #1-
*I’m just wondering, what American General in the late 50’s and early 60’s would have given someone named IGOR a high security clearance? I don’t think Ross did a proper background check.

*Speaking of Igor, he will be back. I think most of his other appearances are flashbacks to this issue but he does play a big part in issue #393 (you should be there soon, right?)

*When the MPD story was brought up by Peter David in the ’80’s and ’90’s I’m pretty sure it was said that the Hulk’s personalities were in a state of flux in the early days, which is why he doesn’t have a stable personality in many of these early issues. I know it was said that the “Joe Fixit/Gray Hulk” personality was influencing Banner in a few issues when he forces himself to become the Hulk.

*That “hours of unending screaming” line creeps me out too. Maybe it’s the combined birth cries of all the different Hulks?

*Rick is an orphan and definitely a professional sidekick.
    Hulk
    Captain America
    Avengers
    Captain Mar-Vell
    Rom
    Captain Marvel (Genis-Vell)

Fantastic Four #5- I don’t have as many thoughts about this issue, but it’s a solid issue. I do wonder if Ben had stayed in the past as Blackbeard how he would have done once he realized that he would have to kill innocents as a pirate.
