  1. Thor #132: I always enjoy seeing characters of smaller physical stature in superhero stories. The atypical body type makes me happy, as you shouldn’t have to have Captain America’s physique to be superstrong or to use mega blasters. So it’s great that the Rigellians hold their own (to a point) against Thor.

Ego!! WOW!! I was not ready for him to be the Black Not-A-Galaxy! I first read him in FF #235, and I knew from OHOTMU that he first appeared in Thor. So, now he’s here! I am so psyched for next issue! (stop using exclamation points, Tim.) YES!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, remember when Thor promised he wouldn’t leave Jane again? Before he let himself get captured and taken into space? Such a great guy.

My big takeaway from Tales of Asgard is the Warriors Three. This is exactly how these guys always talk to each other. Fandral: Huzzah! Volstagg: Huzzah-er!! Hogun: Grump. Love it!

Daredevil #20: I liked it. I liked the Owl. I liked the Silver Age style “criminals running a trial” bit. I liked the ridiculousness of the bad guys not overly questioning how Daredevil found them on their island. But I don’t have much to say about this issue. … wait …

Strange Tales #149: I don’t get how Fury went from meeting Dugan last issue, to being grabbed by AIMions thinking he’s an LMD. Seems like a *lot* happened between panels.

And like Michael, I was just as confused by Gabe showing up as Number 9 from the Secret Empire. “Why is he dressed as #9 and telling that to these AIMions? Won’t the real #9 be upset when he finds out?” When Jon clarified “He was #9 all along”, OOOOOOOHHHH! THANK YOU, JON!

I dunno about this Dr Strange versus Kazoo or whatever his name is. It’s ok, but didn’t leave much of an impression. I miss Strange and Wong dealing with money problems. That really fascinated me more than another cosmic threat.

And why were off-model Archie and Betty part of this story? (Pages 4 and 6.) The blond also strongly resembles Dawn (DC’s Dove) Grainger. Yeah, I don’t make sense.

Great episode as always. Until next time, or until we meet Ego the Living Planet’s daughter*, make mine Make Ours Marvel.
    * Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (2015) #24, with Illa the Living Moon (aka Girl Moon)
