You guys nailed it, Amazing Spider-Man #16 was a stealth issue of Daredevil. Ditko does a fantastic DD, and so cool to see these heroes met so early. Was it me, or did the story imply DD was already well-known, even though he’s had very few adventures? Who took pictures of DD for others to recognize? Does Peter Parker have competition in the hero-photo-taking-stalking world?
It is hard to figure out Betty and Peter’s relationship. They don’t say it in the story, but I wonder if they’re going on dates between issues that we’re not seeing. That explains things a bit, but it’d be better if the stories supported it.
Ok, I have questions about the Ringmaster’s hat. DD resists because he’s blind. Can someone with bad eyesight resist, too? Maybe someone in the back row? “I can barely see what’s happening! Why’s everyone down front getting quiet? What’s the mustache guy saying?”
I think Marvel missed a golden opportunity for a new group of villains: the Masters of Mustache! Ringmaster! Mastermind! Mandarin! Malevolent man-whiskers making mayhem!
I’m sorry, but Sergeant Fury sounded meh.
In the Avengers, I didn’t mind the 2 Thor villains, because they’re more powerful than most of the team, making a pretty good challenge. Hey, how does Zemo eat through that mask? Is he evil because it’s itchy?
Until the Enchantress assembles an all-women team, make mine Make Ours Marvel.
