  1. Hey guys, loving the new show. I think I first heard you both on “The Mighty Shield” so it’s nice to have you back again and at last I will get more Silver Age Cap here. Ok, a few thoughts on FF #1 & 2.

FF#1- I’m pretty sure that the issue that printed Stan’s original notes about the FF were in issue 358. That’s the one where they went to rescue “someone” that Johnny had married (Spoilers!) who had been replaced with a Skull. As for the idea that Marvel was stealing the concept of Plastic Man I say, “so what?” I’m pretty sure I read that the only reason Elongated Man was created was because they wanted a Plastic Man type character but didn’t realize they owned him at the time. Plus, I’m sure there were some older fans at the time that thought Barry Allen and Hal Jordan were rip-offs of Jay Garrick and Alan Scott. Except for the powers (and even those are a bit different) Reed is a completely different character than Plas, Ralph or even Jimmy Olsen.

FF#2- The monsters on Monster Isle are Deviants? I never knew that. Also, Monster Isle is still around. The Infinity Watch makes it their headquarters in Warlock and the Infinity Watch #7.

Johnny is definitely still in High School. I believe they establish he is 16.

Finally, we will get more on the Skull Cows in the 90’s with Grant Morrison’s Skull Kill Krew mini.

  2. I just started listening to the podcast now and came here solely to see how many people mentioned Skrull Kill Krew. If you haven’t by now, look it up. Trust me

  3. Just listened to the first episode. If Mike really came up with the synopsis idea on the spot, that’s fantastic! (Not a pun.) It’s one of the things that sets the show apart and I love it. And it’s quite a trip to hear you guys back at the beginning of this project, just as funny as ever. It also shows that, like my comic collecting, I NEVER manage to start at the beginning. It’s always “join late, then catch up.”

Until next time, or until Skrulls lose the ability to change shape, make mine Make Ours Marvel.
